Walk-In Cooler Replacement equipment

Cooler box replacement

Replace the box before hidden damage becomes the project.

A walk-in can remain standing while moisture moves into panels, walls, floors and the subfloor below. West County plans replacements around the box, the refrigeration system and the operation it supports.

Walk-In Cooler Replacement FAQ

Questions before you schedule.

View all questions
When should a walk-in cooler box be replaced?+

Replacement should be evaluated when panels absorb moisture, floors soften, doors no longer seal, the enclosure has extensive damage or repeated repairs no longer address the underlying condition.

Do you replace only the refrigeration equipment?+

The scope can involve the insulated box, floor, door and refrigeration components. The right combination depends on the condition of the enclosure and equipment.

Why inspect the floor and subfloor?+

Moisture can move beyond the visible cooler surface. Inspecting below and around the box helps define the real replacement scope before work begins.

Can the replacement be planned around an operating facility?+

That is the goal. Access, product storage, shutdown timing and coordination with other trades should be discussed before the replacement plan is finalized.
